Hybrid POP and Microsoft Exchange Environment

Some businesses require a mixture of basic email boxes alongside sophisticated Microsoft Exchange Server mailboxes. Intermedia offers its enterprise Exchange hosting clients this "hybrid" email environment, combining Exchange and POP/IMAP email in one package.

POP/IMAP accounts can be assigned to users who only require basic email and mobile email functionality – and Exchange accounts to those who require features such as shared calendars and BlackBerry synchronization. To simplify administration, distribution lists can be set up and managed to include POP/IMAP email and Exchange accounts.

POP/IMAP Email accounts use the same domain (@yourcompany.com) as your Exchange email. They are compatible with most widely used email clients, including Outlook, Thunderbird and AppleMail and can also be accessed from any web browser. POP/IMAP Email is also compatible with most widely used Mobile Devices, such as Windows Mobile, iPhone, and BlackBerry.
