Virtual Server Settings

Web site structure:

When your virtual server is created, it has a certain directory structure. One of the default directories will be your web site root and this is where you will upload your files. Other folders will be used for storing databases and log files.  Please remember not to delete default directories as it may cause you virtual server to be not operational.

I have my Windows virtual server set up. What do I do next?
What is the directory structure on my Windows server?
Where is CGI-BIN on my Windows account?
Where do I put the content of my web site?

DNS settings:

Every virtual server is assigned an IP address during the signup process. This IP address is stated in the welcome message sent to you upon account setup. While you do not have a domain name pointing to your web site with us, you can use this IP address to access the site.

How can I assign a domain to IP-only virtual server?
How do I register my new domain name?
How do I transfer my domain from another host?
Can I have multiple domains?
How does mail for additional domains work?

Web site log files:

Log files are kept in the virtual directories /Logs and /FTPLogs within your virtual server root. They are rotated daily and only log files for current and previous months are kept on the system. Older log files are deleted.

How do I download raw log files?

Usually you do not need the files themselves, what you need is the reports that can be created by parsing these logs. For this purpose, we have LiveStats, a powerful log analyzing tool which reads your web site logs and produces very detailed reports.
