Hosted Microsoft Exchange System Requirements

Connectivity

Internet Connection Any working Internet connection
  1. On slower connections, such as dial up and cellular modems, and Internet connections slower than 128 kbps, Outlook performance may slow significantly. Customers should configure Outlook to download message headers only.
  2. Outlook 2010, 2007 & 2003 may be used without an Internet connection in “Offline Mode” to access emails already downloaded from the Exchange servers.
  3. Outlook requires 128 kbps of bandwidth for optimal performance.

Client Operating Systems

MS Windows 2000, XP, Vista or Windows 7 Windows 2000 does not support Outlook 2003 or 2007 in full MAPI mode.
Mac OSX 10.X Supports Microsoft Entourage 2004/2008 and Outlook Web Access Light
Note: Microsoft Entourage included with Home and Student edition will not connect to exchange
Linux Any Linux operating system Supports Outlook Web Access Light only

*These services are available for an additional monthly fee per device with your monthly hosted Exchange plan.
