Intermedia Enhances Hosted Microsoft Exchange 2010 with New Customer Controls

Increases Exchange Administrators’ Command of Hosted Environment

We today enhanced our hosted Exchange 2010 offering with features that provide additional controls to customers. The new features are part of our HostPilot® Control Panel, which enables business owners and IT managers to delegate complex Exchange administration – such as deleting data from a lost BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ – to non-technical staff. Highlights of the new features include:

  • Properties Management Restrictions: Account administrators can set parameters for which properties – such as passwords – that their end-users can and cannot change.
  • Spam Kill Score: An enhancement to our SpamStopper product, customers can set separate sensitivity levels for handling spam, marking spam for deletion or delivery to the Junk email folder dependent on the spam’s characteristics.
  • Create Web Hosting Account from Exchange Account: Intermedia hosted Exchange customers can now add a web hosting account with a few clicks of their mouse. The account can be managed from HostPilot Control Panel alongside the Exchange environment.

Members of our affiliate program – companies or individuals that resell Intermedia’s services directly – will also see greater control with the addition of recurring commission to our commission model. Affiliates can now choose from a one-time commission or a recurring commission model when they initially sign on. Affiliates will also benefit from a redesign of the affiliate section of the HostPilot Control Panel, including new reports and tools designed to increase their sales. Intermedia’s Partner Program continues to feature a “private label” option to resell services under a partner’s own brand.
