Davis Technologies is an IT services provider in New Baden, Illinois, that offers a broad range of IT solutions. Davis Tech is a HIPAA-certified provider, and 80% of their customers are in healthcare, ranging from large medical centers to local clinics. In early 2014, they began offering business phone services to these customers to improve their communication and collaboration systems.
Fitting a healthcare customer with a VoIP phone system is not an easy task. Each customer has different needs. Some, like the larger medical centers, are looking for advanced features, such as interoperability between centers, or operating a call center. Others need more basic functionality. Either way, no customer wants to incur large expenditures – not as upfront costs and not as monthly bills.
Unfortunately, Davis Tech’s previous provider of PBX systems was not able to provide the right feature set or the right price point.
Beyond cost and functionality, Davis Tech’s customers required high levels of support. Robert Davis, the COO and systems specialist at Davis Tech, however, reported that the previous provider’s customer service representatives made him feel like his calls were “an imposition” on them.
This was not acceptable. Davis Tech prides itself on helping the local community thrive. Not being able to provide customers with high-quality, enterprise-class solutions was something that Davis Tech would not tolerate.
