Even the best can go down
If you hadn’t heard, this past week Microsoft experienced an extensive outage for several hours across Western Europe and the Eastern United States. Affected services included Outlook.com, Office 365 online software, Xbox Live and Skype® for Business.
Although rare, these types out outages happen from time to time, even to the best providers—like Microsoft. But, unlike most Office 365 users, if you were an Intermedia Office 365 customer with Email Continuity, you wouldn’t feel the impact of it at all.
Since email is so critical to businesses today, an outage for even a few short hours can have a severe impact. That’s why we offer our Office 365 users Email Continuity, designed to eliminate the risk of downtime. In the event of an Office 365 outage, your email is immediately rerouted to an emergency mailbox, allowing users to send and receive their email as normal, with zero impact on productivity. And there’s no need to worry about losing any emails. When the outage is restored, all activity within Outlook is mirrored to the user’s primary mailbox, as if it never happened.
Benefits of Office 365 with Email Continuity include:
- Full-featured emergency mailbox: Access to 30 days of historical email and attachments, calendar items, tasks and contacts using OWA.
- Uninterrupted Emergency Mailbox Access: Gives users a full featured mailbox including historic email and attachments, calendar items, tasks and contacts using Outlook® Web Access (OWA).
- Continuous synchronization: Mirrors email, calendar events, tasks and contacts from the emergency mailbox and back to the primary mailbox once service has been restored.
