CRN names Intermedia’s CEO and CRO to list of Top 100 Executives
We are proud to announce that CRN has named our CEO Michael Gold, AND our CRO Eric Martorano to its 2017 list of Top 100 Executives. Michael was named as a Top 25 Disrupter, while Eric was recognized as a Top 25 Sales Leader.
There’s no doubt that Michael and Eric have played integral roles in shaping the cloud industry. Let’s take a closer look at what earned them their spots on the Top 100 list.
Michael Gold – a CRN Top 25 Disrupter
Michael has 20+ years of senior management experience in cloud services and channel development, and the results speak for themselves. Under Michael’s leadership, Intermedia has transformed from a mostly direct-to-business company to a predominately channel-driven organization with more than 80 percent of sales now coming through the channel. Previously a business email and web hosting company, Intermedia’s revenue now comes from a full suite of integrated cloud applications, including unified communications, email, backup and file sharing, productivity, security, and archiving. Intermedia continues to build on top of this core technology platform to address partner and customer needs. As a result, Intermedia now serves more than 110,000 businesses and 6,500 solution providers. Since Michael joined the company in 2011, Intermedia has more than tripled in size and surpassed $200 million in revenue.
Eric Martorano – a CRN Top 25 Sales Leader
Eric has spent his career growing companies and enabling end users by way of the channel. Since joining Intermedia in September 2016, Eric has established the organizational design on which Intermedia’s global go-to-market is based. This restructure has enabled Intermedia to increase partner coverage and support across nearly every sales function, all with the goal of helping partners to succeed. To further strengthen the growing ecosystem, Eric appointed a combination of existing and new executives to lead these departments. Not surprising given Eric’s impressive track record, this newly installed sales strategy has yielded record-breaking sales numbers for 1H17, and continues to deliver month over month.
It’s been great to watch the impact that these two executives have been able to achieve together. With such strong leadership in place, we are in an excellent position to continue this growth trajectory. I am thoroughly pleased to see that the industry is also taking notice.
