From 451 Research: Intermedia sweetens channel deal for agents as growth continues in non-Exchange business
As I look to the current and future state of business, I see a world beyond email. And I think most companies see it, too. 451 Research agrees with our vision. Their recent analysis of Intermedia recognizes our efforts to look beyond the inbox to the way professionals are working in “real life”. And to work with our channel partners to bring more businesses to the cloud.
In their report synopsis, “The 451 Take”, they state:
“By positioning itself as a legitimate one-stop shop for IT services, the company is making all its services – individually and in bundles – more attractive in a world where the prospect of moving SMB business applications to the cloud means dealing with a potentially complex network of service providers….By working extensively with channel partners, the company is helping to support a large market of smaller IT service providers that have traditionally relied on reselling hardware and software into SMBs.”
The expanding channel opportunity
In taking a deeper look at our award-winning channel program and the wonderful VARs and MSPs that make up the majority of our Private Label and Advisor partners, 451 Research noted that these partners account for more than 60% of new sales of Intermedia products. And that number is trending upwards. Our partners are a core element of our business, which is why we work so hard to make sure they have the best experience possible with selling our services.
Specifically, 451 Research took a deeper look at our Advisor program. And they liked what they saw, noting:
- “… improved commissions (both up-front and recurring), which is unusual in a market where commissions are typically trending downward.”
- “… the ability for partners to use a combination of white-label and agent approaches, applied to different services…”
- “…expanded sales and marketing support, and removed any entry requirements to its partner program…”
