US Resources (an Intermedia partner) was working with their client, Delta Consulting Group (Delta) on an Enterprise grade 2010 hosted Exchange. Delta was looking for world class support and migration from their existing provider that would not disrupt their business. US Resources provided Delta Intermedia’s 2010 Exchange. The solution had everything Delta needed, including Intermedia’s SSAE16/PCI compliant datacenters, 99.999% financially backed service level agreement, and seamless migration services along with US Resources’ support services.

US Resources’ client, Delta Consulting Group, provides a variety of services including construction claims and management, engineering, forensic accounting, financial and dispute resolution and other services to its clients. The company grew rapidly and now has offices in the Washington Metro area, Miami and Central Florida, San Francisco and Chicago. With the company’s rapid growth, and both US and international clients, communications quickly became of vital importance.
When US Resources won Delta as a managed services client, email had been an on-going issue. The decision was made to move Delta from an on premise exchange solution to an outsourced hosted email provider. While some issues were resolved by making this change there were still problems, primarily around service levels. But, there were also concerns around just how secure the environment was.
US Resources had been looking for a new cloud services/hosted Exchange provider to partner with in order to address the ongoing issues they were experiencing with less reliable email hosting providers. Since US Resources is and always has been dedicated to service excellence it was imperative they choose a partner that had the same values. “We wanted to be sure the company we choose had the same commitment to serving us as we have to serving our customers,” says Spencer Copland, vice president, US Resources. “We did our due diligence and found that Intermedia delivered enterprise grade reliability and security, premier support and migration services, and had the control necessary to support our clients.”
Late in 2011 Delta wanted to address the ongoing IT issues that existed. One of the decisions that US Resources made was to upgrade Delta’s existing hosted POP3 email to Intermedia’s 2010 Exchange Email solution. Delta wanted higher service levels, better security and more storage. They also wanted more flexibility to manage groups and calendars. It was clear Intermedia was the right solution.
Matt Huffman, US Resources’ Networking Operating Manager, knew Intermedia’s Exchange 2010 offering could deliver the functionality and reliability his client needed. “Intermedia delivers their Exchange Email solution from SSAE16 certified datacenters infrastructure and my engineers work very well with Intermedia’s, helping to resolve customer issues in a very timely fashion,” says Huffman. In conjunction with the Intermedia Exchange offering, US Resources bundles in their top-notch support (with Intermedia to support them behind the scenes 24/7) and advanced administration skills to provide Delta with a full-service email solution.

Since January 2012, Delta Consulting Group has successfully been up and running on Intermedia’s Exchange Email with full managed support from US Resources. Mark Dungan, Executive Vice President and co-founder of Delta Consulting Group, says, “We are a professional services company and communications are our life line. When we switched our email to Intermedia, US Resources understood how important it was to not have any interruptions in their email service. They managed the conversion in such a way that we did not have any downtime. Since the switch, we have not had any issues with our email. In addition, if we do encounter a problem we are confident that we are no longer in the position of waiting for hours or days for someone to get back to us. US Resources and Intermedia have demonstrated that they can respond to the email needs of our engineers, accountants and staff immediately.”
“It is a great partnership for all three companies. Working with Intermedia really supports our slogan, We Make IT Easy,” says Copland.
As Intermedia expands its portfolio, we do the same. We hook a customer with Exchange Email and then introduce other services.
