Why is my web hosting changing?
We know that you, as a loyal Intermedia client, expect an outstanding customer experience. To continue to deliver a stellar level of service, we are upgrading your web hosting account so that you’ll have a more robust, feature-rich website—at no additional charge. After researching many providers, we are very excited to announce that we have decided to partner with Hostway, a leading IT infrastructure provider, to enhance your web hosting experience. We will soon be migrating your account over to Hostway and trust that you will be in good hands.

Can I keep my Web Hosting with Intermedia?
No. All Intermedia web hosting customers are subject to this upgrade and will soon be migrated to Hostway. Hostway will enhance your current web hosting experience and you will gain:

When will my services be upgraded and moved to Hostway?
Intermedia has already started its first wave of communications with Linux and Windows® Web Hosting customers and expects to begin migrating those customers to Hostway next month. We expect that all customers will be fully migrated to Hostway by the end of August 2017. Additional details related to your migration, including your exact migration date, will be sent to you via email. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Intermedia at 800.379.7729 and select option 3.
Which of my Intermedia services are being moved to Hostway?
Your Intermedia Web Hosting services and a handful of other related services (listed below) will be moving to Hostway. There will be no change to the performance or billing of services that remain with Intermedia. *Transition of your POP/IMAP email accounts will occur approximately 1-2 months after your web hosting is migrated. Until then, you will continue to pay and access your email services through Intermedia.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the migration?
Not at this time. We ask that you log into HostPilot to confirm that the email address that you have on file with Intermedia is current, as we will be sending you emails with additional information related to the migration. All instructions will be provided via email.
What should I expect during the upgrade and move to Hostway?
We will do our best to make the migration process as seamless as possible and to alleviate any interruption to your services.
During the migration process, Hostway will create a mirror copy of your existing hosted web files. Then Hostway will transfer that copy of your web files and any corresponding databases over to your new Hostway account.
You will then receive an email from Hostway specifying when you will be able to preview and confirm that your web files have been successfully migrated to Hostway. We will work closely with your named administrators to help ensure that all of your data has been migrated over to Hostway. Hostway will be available 24/7 to address any issues that you may have in real-time.
What about my DNS?
If your DNS is not with Intermedia, you will need to contact your current DNS provider and have them point your DNS to Hostway after the migration of your web files is confirmed to be correct. You will not need to do this right away, as Hostway will provide you with a specific date and detailed instructions on how to update your DNS.
How do I know if my DNS is currently with Intermedia?
If you are not sure, you can conduct a simple "WHOIS lookup" for your domain here. The lookup results will display in the Name Servers section. If your Name Servers read NS2.INTERMEDIA.NET & NS3.INTERMEDIA.NET your DNS is with Intermedia and no DNS change is required as part of this upgrade to Hostway. If your lookup results display something different, you will need to update your DNS upon the completion of your migration. Hostway will provide you with additional information on when and how to make the change.
How will my experience with my website change after the move?
Once your web hosting account has been successfully upgraded and moved to Hostway, you will access your hosting control panel through Hostway's SiteControl. Similar to your experience with HostPilot®, Hostway's SiteControl allows you to add features and administer changes to your web hosting service. During the migration, you will receive an email from Hostway containing the link to SiteControl and your login credentials. Will my billing change?
No additional costs will be incurred during this upgrade. You will continue to be billed in accordance with your existing agreement, but billing will now be invoiced through Hostway.
I'm billed monthly and my credit card is on autopay, do I need to take any action?
No action is required. We will transition your billing and autopay profile to Hostway on your behalf. Hostway will begin billing and charging you the month following your web hosting migration.
I have a pre-paid 12-month account. Will I be refunded the amount unused?
No. To make it easy for you, the remaining funds have been transferred to Hostway who will provide support through the contract date. Once the contract is up, a new contract will be issued by Hostway.
I pay by check, can I keep doing that?
Yes, you can. Make your check payable to Hostway and please include your Hostway account number (found on your bill) in the memo field of the check. Please then send the check to:
