Echoworx Partners with World’s Largest Hosted Exchange Provider, Intermedia

Partnership to Provide Additional Encryption Options to Intermedia Customers

2010-11-11

Echoworx Corporation, (www.echoworx.com) the leading provider of managed encryption services for complete enterprise email and data protection, today announced their partnership with Intermedia, (www.intermedia.net) the world’s largest hosted Microsoft Exchange provider. Following integration of Echoworx’ service into Intermedia’s HostPilot® Control Panel, Intermedia will begin offering policy-based encryption to its customer base of over 250,000 users.

Policy-based encryption provides a higher-level of encryption to emails and is often used by medical, finance and other professional services firms that must protect client information and demonstrate compliance with government regulations. With the Intermedia-Echoworx offering, policies can be set and applied to all outgoing mail to establish automatic encryption.

"By adding policy based email encryption to their hosted services Intermedia has an advantage over their competitors," says Michael Ginsberg, President and CEO of Echoworx. "Partnering with Echoworx ensures that the Intermedia customers get a fully managed email encryption solution based on industry trusted PKI and S/MIME technology."

"We look forward to integrating Echoworx’s Encrypted Mail Gateway service into our existing platform," says Jonathan McCormick, COO, Intermedia. "Our customers will have a choice between our current Secure Mail offering, which gives individual users the option to encrypt email, and this new offering, which is policy-based and enables companies to enforce employee-wide encryption standards. As with all our products, customers will be able to install and manage the service from their HostPilot Control Panel."

Echoworx Encrypted Mail Gateway provides the ability to associate rules with the content of outbound email to help protect enterprises from liabilities associated with privacy and data security regulations such as The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and PCI Compliance.
