2009-10-26

Intermedia, the global leader in Microsoft Exchange hosting, today announced it has teamed with Ingram Micro Seismic. Under the new alliance, Ingram Micro Seismic will co-market and sell Intermedia's hosted Microsoft Exchange 2007, Office Communication Service (OCS), SharePoint 3.0 and Dynamics CRM to its rapidly growing reseller and MSP partner base. The private label hosted services are available now as part of Ingram Micro Seismic and are featured within the Seismic booth at Ingram Micro's Fall 2009 VentureTech Network (VTN) Invitational which is taking place now in Denver, CO.

"Hosted Microsoft collaboration and email services represent a sizable recurring revenue opportunity for our Seismic partners and extend the value and depth of services they can provide to small and mid-size businesses," says Justin Crotty, vice president of services, Ingram Micro North America. "We've teamed with Intermedia to expand our hosted solutions portfolio and provide Seismic partners with more choice and flexibility. Intermedia brings to the table the strong support, reliability and architecture Seismic partners want in a hosted Microsoft solution, as well as the opportunity to private label these services and increase their brand recognition."

Intermedia operates the world's largest Exchange service, hosting more than 225,000 premium Microsoft Exchange mailboxes. The alliance with Ingram Micro Seismic marks a growing demand for hosted solutions and is, for Intermedia, a major resale agreement with a worldwide distribution partner.

Intermedia has offered private label Exchange hosting since 2001 and has over 4,000 partners - from one-person firms to some of the world's largest IT names. Resellers can increase their recurring revenue with high margin Exchange hosting services they sell to their current customers and use to win new business - all under their own brand - while Intermedia maintains, monitors and upgrades the hardware and software.

"Ingram Micro's confidence in our hosted solutions offering is a direct result of our commitment and demonstrated record of providing unsurpassed service and uptime to our customers," says Bob Leibholz, vice president of sales and business development, Intermedia. "We are looking forward to working with the Ingram Micro Seismic team and helping their partners grow their businesses and increase their recurring revenue streams by leveraging our portfolio of hosted Microsoft solutions."

Intermedia will further support Ingram Micro's Seismic partners with marketing and recruitment materials aimed to assist the partners with hosted service sales.
