Intermedia Enhances Hosted Microsoft Exchange 2010 with New Customer Controls

Increases Exchange Administrators’ Command of Hosted Environment

2009-12-22

Intermedia, the global leader in Microsoft Exchange hosting, today enhanced its hosted Exchange 2010 offering with features that provide additional controls to customers. Intermedia is the first and only provider to launch hosted Exchange 2010 and recently enabled its partners to resell it. The company remains the only hosted Exchange 2010 provider.

The new features are part of Intermedia's HostPilot® Control Panel, which enables business owners and IT managers to delegate complex Exchange administration - such as deleting data from a lost BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ - to non-technical staff. Highlights of the new features include:

Members of Intermedia's Affiliate Program - companies or individuals that resell Intermedia's services directly - will also see greater control with the addition of recurring commission to Intermedia's commission model. Affiliates can now choose from a one-time commission or a recurring commission model when they initially sign on. Affiliates will also benefit from a redesign of the affiliate section of the HostPilot Control Panel, including new reports and tools designed to increase their sales. Intermedia's Partner Program continues to feature a "private label" option to resell services under a partner's own brand.

"As the first company to market with hosted Exchange 2010 and the first to offer a hosted Exchange 2010 reseller program, we continue to enhance our offering with proprietary features and management controls," says Jonathan McCormick, chief operating officer, Intermedia. "These capabilities are exposed in an intuitive way, saving time and simplifying administration of the Exchange environment."
