Intermedia, a global leader in cloud services and the world’s largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider, announced today that it joined the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) as a corporate member. The CSA is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to promote the use of best practices for providing security assurance within cloud computing, and to provide education on the uses of cloud computing to help secure all other forms of computing. The Cloud Security Alliance is led by a broad coalition of industry practitioners, corporations, associations and other key stakeholders.
"As our customers move to the cloud, and as end users access corporate and private data from a range of mobile and desktop devices, ensuring data privacy and security is of paramount importance,” says Michael Gold, president, Intermedia. “Intermedia has been providing secure, business-grade cloud-based services for over a decade. We look forward to working with the CSA to contribute deep knowledge in cloud security, while also learning from the many other experts in this fast growing space.”
“We are pleased to welcome Intermedia to the CSA,” says Jim Reavis, executive director of the CSA. “We applaud its decision to join other industry leaders in furthering the use of best practices for securing cloud computing, and look forward to them lending their experience to our continued research.”
