Intermedia Offers Full Hosted Exchange Support for New Verizon iPhone

2011-01-11

Intermedia, the world’s largest Microsoft Exchange hosting provider, today announced that its hosted Exchange service will be available on the new Verizon iPhone the day it is available to customers. Using Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Intermedia will configure the new Verizon iPhone to wirelessly send and receive Exchange email, calendar invitations, contacts and more. Intermedia supports business email and collaboration on a full range of smartphones, including devices from BlackBerry, iPhone, Google’s Nexus One, Motorola Droid, Palm Treo, Motorola Q, T-Mobile Dash and the Samsung Blackjack.

Interest in Apple devices has surged amongst Intermedia’s nearly 300,000 premium business email users. Over one-third of the company’s smartphone customers are using iPhones and over 5,000 iPads are already supported by Intermedia’s hosted Exchange.

As more business people rely on smartphones, including iPhones, to access Exchange, demand for Intermedia’s mobility services has increased. Companies no longer have to standardize on a single smartphone to minimize operational expenses and complexity. Each user can select the smartphone right for them.

"We get a lot of questions from small and medium-sized businesses on whether new phones, or versions of phones, will be supported by our business-class hosted email,” says Jonathan McCormick, COO, Intermedia. “We want to confirm that Verizon’s iPhone is fully supported."
