To verify that phones and devices are secure from cyber threats and attacks like eavesdropping, we require strong passwords on all SIP endpoints.
Individual passwords are not distributed or viewable internally to prevent access from internal threats. Each device is securely provisioned using “HTTPS” with mutual authentication to prevent intrusion.
Two-Factor Authentication for Unite Apps
The Desktop and Mobile Apps from Intermedia allow users to use their Unite business phone system while working remotely or while on the go. These apps require a login and password and also require 2-factor authentication for access.
Transport Layer Security (TLS)
TLS provides end-to-end communications security over networks and is widely used for internet communications and online transactions. It helps prevent eavesdropping, tampering and message forgery. TLS is an available setting for users, and can be activated from within the Unite Mobile App.
