Intermedia, a one-stop shop for cloud IT services for SMBs and the partners who serve them, announces today that Jonathan Levine, former Executive Officer of Rakuten, has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer.
Levine will create a holistic technology strategy that will enable Intermedia to accelerate its growth and make its operations even more efficient while maintaining the security and availability on which its customers depend.

For the past fourteen years, Levine has served in a number of senior leadership roles at Rakuten, the Japanese ecommerce and Internet Company. Most recently, he was the Vice Managing Director of Rakuten Group’s Development Unit, where he was responsible for global technology and corporate infrastructure. Levine was also a board member of Fusion Communications, Rakuten’s telecommunications carrier, ISP and public cloud subsidiary. During his tenure, Rakuten expanded from fewer than fifty employees to more than 10,000. Prior to his long career at Rakuten, Levine was co-founder and VP of Engineering at ePhysician.
